INTRODUCTION TO CANDLE-MAKING - PUBLIC WORKSHOP FOR BEGINNERS

This is the perfect first step for anybody wanting to learning how to make candles.  Our three hour workshop teaches you about the different types of candles that are sold in the UK, then you'll learn the skills to make your own using natural soy and beeswax! This hands-on workshop shows you how to make a variety of beautiful candles: floating, container, pillar and rolled beeswax. Choose from a range of fragrances and dyes to create your very own candles. At the end you take home the wonderful candles you have made plus a copy of our step-by-step user guide - so you can make more at home.  

  • Party run by a “Chandler” (professional candle-maker)
  • Introduction to candle-making through the ages
  • Overview of the different types of wax, wicks, dyes, fragrance oils and candles
  • Demonstration of 4 different candle-making techniques
  • Using individual melters, melt two types of wax, add dyes, fragrance oils and wicks to make four types of candle:
    • Floating candles
    • Container candle and tealights
    • Pillar candle
    • Rolled beeswax candle
  • Finish your candles off with beautiful packaging and decorations
  • Everyone takes home their own self-made candles and our user guides so you can make more at home

This includes all materials and equipment - plus coffee, tea, soft drinks and home-made cakes!
